The young Chilean-Brazilian Gabriel Bastos Andrade, only 13 years old, was featured in the last edition of the International Mathematical Aptitude Olympiad (GJMAT – Global Junior Math Aptitud test). Gabriel has 155 IQ points, is a member of three High IQ Societies — Intertel, IIS and the ISI Society, one of the most restricted in the world. He has also had a publication on the “Higgs Theory of Gravity” on the ISI Society platform.
According to Carla Bastos, Gabriel’s mother, since he was young, her son has shown an aptitude for science and intends to be a scientist when he grows up.
“Gabriel has always loved to learn and has shown a special aptitude for the sciences. At the age of 7 he surprised us by writing a book about ‘La Leyenda del Big Bang’. He’s a fan of a lot of scientists, like Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton, and he dreams of helping NASA build a probe when he grows up.”
